About Nixd
A small team building one app, narrowly aimed at one thing: helping you quit nicotine.
Nixd is built by Nixd LLC, a Delaware company. The app is iOS-only. There's no team page yet because there's no team page worth filling out yet — it's a small operation. That changes when it changes.
Why we built this
Most quit-vaping apps were built by re-skinning quit-smoking apps from 2015. That's fine for cigarettes. It misses what makes vapes and nicotine pouches different: you don't notice when you use them. You can hit a vape thirty times before noon. You can pop a pouch on a Zoom call and nobody sees. The whole habit lives below the threshold of awareness, which is exactly why it's hard to quit.
Nixd is built around that. The streak counter is live to the second because the difference between "I haven't vaped today" and "I haven't vaped in 18 hours and 22 minutes" is the difference between an abstraction and a real thing you've earned. The SOS toolkit assumes you'll cave at 1am and gives you something to do with your hands. The relapse flow assumes you'll slip and refuses to punish you for it.
What we won't do
- Run ads in the app.
- Sell your data.
- Lecture you with wellness platitudes.
- Pretend we're a medical device. (See Terms §8.)
How we make money
A subscription with a free trial — current pricing shown in the App Store. That's it. No enterprise tier, no white-label, no influencer partnerships baked into the product. If we ever change that, we'll say so on this page before we change it.
