Privacy Policy
We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. Your usage and mood logs are stored where only you can read them. This page explains what that means in detail.
This Privacy Policy describes how Nixd LLC ("we", "us")
collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use the Nixd:
Quit Vaping & Pouches mobile application
(bundle ID: com.nixdvaping.app) or visit
nixdapp.com.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what's needed to make the app work for you.
1.1 Account information
When you sign in with Apple, Apple gives us a unique identifier and, if you choose, an email address. We don't see your Apple ID password. Apple's "Hide My Email" relay address is supported — we treat it like any other address.
1.2 Onboarding answers
During onboarding, you tell us what you use (vapes, pouches, cigarettes), how much, what you spend, why you're quitting, and which barriers you've run into before. This is what we use to build your personalized quit plan. It's stored on our servers tied to your account, with row-level security so only you can read it.
1.3 Usage logs
As you use the app, we record events you generate: streaks, slips, cravings logged, mood check-ins, milestones reached, lessons opened. These are necessary for the app to work as a quit-tracker. They're stored on our servers tied to your account.
1.4 Diagnostics
We log technical errors (crashes, failed network requests) so we can fix bugs. Diagnostic logs do not include the contents of your journal entries, mood notes, or letter to self.
1.5 Analytics
We track aggregate event counts (e.g. "100 users completed onboarding today") to understand whether features work. Analytics events do not include the contents of personal entries. You can disable analytics in Settings.
1.6 Website
nixdapp.com uses minimal first-party logging (page views, referrer) to understand which content people find useful. No cross-site tracking pixels, no advertising cookies.
2. What we don't collect
- Health data from Apple HealthKit
- Location data
- Contacts
- Photos or camera content (unless you attach a photo to a journal entry, in which case it's stored with that entry)
- Microphone or audio
3. How we use information
- To build and maintain your personalized quit plan
- To track your streak, milestones, and progress
- To send notifications you've opted into (milestones, win-back nudges)
- To diagnose and fix bugs
- To understand which features help people quit
4. Where your data lives
App data is stored in Supabase, a hosted Postgres database. Each table that contains personal data has row-level security (RLS) enforced at the database level — no application bug can leak data across users. Authentication is handled by Apple Sign In, brokered through Supabase Auth.
Some data is cached on your device (so the app works offline) and syncs to the server when you're back online. Local-only data is encrypted by iOS at rest.
5. Sharing
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We share data only when required to operate the service:
- Apple: handles authentication and subscription billing. We never see your payment details.
- Supabase: hosts our database and runs our server-side functions. They process data on our behalf under their DPA.
- Legal requests: if we receive a valid subpoena, warrant, or court order. We will challenge over-broad requests and tell you unless prohibited by law.
6. Your rights
- Access: email feedback@nixdapp.com and we'll send you a copy of your data.
- Correction: you can edit most of your data directly in the app.
- Deletion: tap "Delete account" in Settings, or email us. We delete your account record and personal data within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymous analytics data may persist.
- Export: available on request via email.
7. Children
Nixd is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we delete it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard practices: TLS in transit, encrypted at rest, row-level security on every table containing personal data, principle-of-least-privilege access for the small team that operates the app. No system is invulnerable; we'll notify affected users promptly if we ever experience a breach.
9. International users
Nixd is operated from the United States. If you use the app from outside the U.S., your data is processed in the U.S. By using Nixd, you consent to that transfer.
10. Changes
If we change this Privacy Policy, we'll update the "Effective" date and, for material changes, notify users in-app. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
